Tuned In Music offers a structured piano curriculum designed to nurture musicians from their first lesson experience through to advanced performances. Tuned In Music aims to foster growth, creativity, confidence and mastery of the piano to enrich lives through music.
Beginner Level Dive into the world of music with our Beginner level, where students learn essential foundational skills such as keyboard geography, posture, hand position, rhythm, and pulse. The repertoire includes musical selections that focus on building a solid base for early musical development.
Elementary Level Building on foundational skills, the Elementary level introduces students to scales, chords, and arpeggios. This level enriches the repertoire further, categorizing selected pieces into List A, List B, and List C to cover a diverse range of music. Enhanced musicianship learning includes ear training, sight reading, theory and composition, as well as preparing for more confident stage presence in performances.
Intermediate Level The Intermediate level continues to reinforce and expand upon earlier skills with intermediate piano technique, posture, rhythm, and pulse. The repertoire challenges students further with a broader selection of pieces. Musicianship focuses on advanced ear training, precise sight reading, and maintaining a strong stage presence.
Advanced Level Advanced Level coaches the more experienced pianist to higher a degree of musical skill, and engages the student with challenging aspects of the curriculum. Advanced curriculum is structured to include all the technique and musicianship needed for their preparation and performance of a greater complexity of repertoire. There are increased repertoire lists that aim to encourage the skills needed for comprehensive development and artist satisfaction.
